Operational
Functions and Financial Services
FMO
has responsibility for myriad operational functions distributed throughout
its branches.
Budget
Branch
- Provides leadership, consultation, guidance, and advice on budgetary matters
for CDC/ATSDR.
- Develops annual budget submissions for CDC/ATSDR.
- Coordinates and provides liaison with CDC/ATSDR staff on budget execution.
- Serves as the primary CDC/ATSDR focal point for planning, organizing,
and administering legislative issues related to Congressional appropriations
matters.
Accounting
Branch
- Develops and implements policies and procedures for all accounting activities
at CDC/ATSDR, including accounts payable, debt and property management,
general ledger, and auditing activities as mandated by the Chief Financial
Officer's Act.
- Provides oversight, guidance, policy development, and interpretation of
all aspects of domestic and international travel policy and procedures
at CDC/ATSDR.
Financial
Systems Branch
- Provides analysis, design, programming, implementation, enhancement, and
documentation of automated accounting systems and subsystems.
Financial
Services Branch
- Develops
and implements policies and procedures for all accounts payable and
disbursement functions.
Financial
Policy and Internal Quality Assurance Activity
- Provides
leadership, consultation, guidance and advice on financial policy and
internal quality assurance matters and develops, analyzes, and evaluates
financial management policies, guidelines, and services.
