Where: Teleconference and web-based presentation (replay available on-line 24 hours after conference)
Target Audience: Clinicians
Registration: Please pre-register using our registration form (http://www2.cdc.gov/nip/isd/fluconference). This is a limited registration event. Registration will close on November 18th (midnight eastern time) or when the course is full. Please register early!

Agenda

This one-hour session will provide clinicians with the most up-to-date information on influenza.

  • Introduction and Moderation, Dr. William Atkinson, CDC
  • Influenza Vaccine Supply Update, Dr. Ray Strikas, CDC
  • Antiviral Medications for Influenza, Dr. Tim Uyeki, CDC
  • Infection Control Measures to Prevent Influenza Transmission, Dr. Arjun Srinivasan, CDC

The program will combine a telephone audio conference with simultaneous online visual content. It will allow for a question and answer segment both by telephone and via the Internet. Internet access and a separate phone line are needed to participate. Graphics will be available to download as a Power Point file after the presentations. Continuing education credits will not be offered.
