Ford Motor Company has formally announced an "Optional Upgrade Program 02B02" for all 1992 through 2002 and Certain 2003 Model Year Crown Victoria Police Interceptor (CVPI) vehicles currently in active police duty.  This new upgrade supersedes TSB 01-21-14, which was referenced on this website. Ford Motor Company will no longer pay warranty claims submitted for performing this TSB.

If the work is done is specified under TSB 01-21-14, customers may still be required to have this additional work done under the upgrade program. If customers did not have the work performed under TSB 01-21-14, please disregard that notice. This new upgrade program will be all that is required at this time.

Ford has stated that 10% of the total kits required to upgrade CVPI vehicles currently in use will be available by October 31, 2002. Projected completion date for modifying all CVPI's in use is June of 2003.

GSA Fleet Operations will be notifying Ford Motor Company of the various locations of customer Crown Victoria Police Interceptors so that Ford Dealerships in those areas will be assured shipments of the kits to meet the necessary requirements.
