Agreement has been reached between the U.S. Forest Service, Idaho Department of Water Resources and the USGS to continue to fully fund this gaging station for the 2005 Water Year (Oct. 1, 2004 - Sept. 30, 2005).
LOCATION.--Lat 44° 43'11", long 115° 00'48", in NW1/4 SW1/4 SW1/4 sec.16,
T.16 N., R.12 E., Valley County, Hydrologic Unit 17060205, Boise National Forest,
on left bank at Middle Fork Lodge, 300 ft upstream from Middle Fork Lodge bridge,
0.4 mi upstream from Thomas Creek, 1.8 mi downstream from Marble Creek, 29 mi
southeast of Yellow Pine, and at mile 61.0.
DRAINAGE AREA.--1,040 mi2, approximately.
PERIOD OF RECORD.--April 1973 to September 1981, March 1999 to current year.
REVISED RECORDS.--WDR-ID-00-2: 1999.
GAGE.--Elevation of gage is,4,380 ft above NGVD of 1929, from topographic map.
Prior to March 1999, gage was at site 600 ft downstream at different datum.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD.--Maximum discharge, 20,900 ft3/s June 16, 1974,
gage height, 10.80 ft, datum then in use; minimum, 190 ft3/s Nov. 21, 1979,
gage height, 1.32 ft, datum then in use.
