The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) issues Mortgagee Letters to inform lenders of changes in Federal Housing Administration (FHA) operations, policies and procedures. This has been an on-going practice of FHA since 1934. Paper copies of Mortgagee Letters may be requested electronically.

Subscribe to the Homeownership Center National Reference Guide email list. You will get frequent updates to the reference guide, mortgagee letters, handbooks, notices, important announcements and information about HUD events and training.

Your comments are appreciated.

Note: All letters issued prior to 1976 are obsolete.
