Bridge (202) 720-5447 rbridge@oce.usda.gov MEDIA ADVISORY: RELEASE DATES FOR WASDE REPORT IN 2000 WASHINGTON, July 30 The World Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates (WASDE) report will be released 8:30 a.m. Eastern Time on the following dates in 2000: Jan.12, Feb.11, Mar.10, Apr.11, May 12, June 9, July 12, Aug.11, Sept.12, Oct.12, Nov.9, and Dec.12. Release dates coincide with release of the Crop Production report, except in January. The January Crop Production report will be issued on Jan. 11. The WASDE report will be released Jan. 12, at the same time as the Crop Production Annual, Winter Wheat and Rye Seedings, and Grain Stocks reports. The WASDE report, which forecasts U.S. and world supply and use for major commodities, is issued by the World Agricultural Outlook Board (WAOB) of USDA's Office of the Chief Economist. The report is posted on the Internet shortly after release.
