Accurate and consistent spatial data and drawings will help GSA achieve responsible asset management of its real estate portfolio;
Through the use of SDM data to more accurately bill customers and appraise its federally owned inventory, GSA will ensure financial accountability; and
FAS will operate more efficiently and effectively by using SDM data and drawings for space planning and building maintenance projects.

Potential increase in FFO due to the correction of assignment data and Client Billing Records;
Ability to provide more accurate estimates (RENTEST,);
Increased customer satisfaction through GSA’s use of more accurate and timely spatial data and drawings;
Capability to better identify non-revenue producing space;
Improved ability to better project and manage operating costs, and thereby make more informed and precise business decisions; and
Increase billing accuracy as the STAR database is updated with current and correct billing and assignment data.
