Form EIA-861: Schedule V Data
Electric Utility Demand-Side Management (DSM) Data

This is an electric utility data file that includes information on demand-side management efforts in the industry. Data are compiled from Form EIA-861, "Annual Electric Utility Report," Schedule V. This survey is a census of electric utilities in the United States, its territories, and Puerto Rico. It is used to collect annual data on the production, sales, revenue from sales, and trade of electricity, as well as demand-side management information from approximately 3,200 electric utilities in the United States. DSM data are reported on Schedule V, "Demand-Side Management Information," of Form EIA-861.

The data are compressed into a self-extracting (.exe) zip file that expands into 1 DBF file: (F861DSMyy.DBF*), and an ASCII text layout file (README.TXT). To expand the file, type F861DSMyy.EXE* from a DOS window or double click on the file name from either File Manager in Windows 3x or Windows Explorer in either Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows 2000, XP, or ME.
