Volunteers In Service (VIS)

The VIS support a variety of community outreach endeavors. Our partnership with the local public school system serves as the centerpiece of our volunteerism initiative. This year GSA Volunteers participated in the "Success for All" reading program. Over 30 GSA associates volunteered 1 hour per week as Mentors and Readers to elementary school aged children in our Partner schools. We received the Atlanta Public Schools "A Plus Award of Excellence" for our volunteering efforts. Our volunteers enlist the help of GSA associates for collection drives such as clothing, school supplies and books.

As a community partner to the Atlanta Day Shelter for Women and Children, our volunteers give generously of their time, talents and resources. As federal employees, we feel driven to make a difference in our communities.
