Objective:
To improve robustness of analytical procedures for flavonoids of foods and apply technology in measurement of these phytonutrients.
Approach:
HPLC system developed in this laboratory will be inproved by addition of internal standars(s) and assessment of stability. Sample preparation procedures will be modified to improve yield and tracers identified to correct for losses. Plant foods will be analyzed from nation-wide samplings in collaboration with sponsor and Nutrient Data Laboratory.
