Since May, 1997, Big Bend has participated in the Recreation Fee Demonstration Program.

Entrance fees to the Big Bend National Park are:

Weekly entrance fee:
$15 per vehicle or $5 per person for motorcyclists, bicyclists, or pedestrians.

Non-commercial groups, such as scout groups, pay $5 per person for everyone 17 years and older (instead of $15 per vehicle).


The following passes for free entrance to the park are honored and available at the entrance stations or at Panther Junction Visitor Center:

Big Bend Annual Pass

Educational institutions visiting the park strictly for educational purposes may apply for an Entrance Fee Waiver.

Commercial tour groups pay an entrance fee (Commercial Tour Fee) based on the capacity of the tour vehicle.

Certain commercial activities (tours, guiding, etc.) in Big Bend require and Incidental Business Permit.
