EPA's Performance Track Program is designed to motivate and reward top environmental performance from facilities. Performance Track recognizes performance at two levels: Environmental Achievement and Environmental Stewardship. More than 200 facilities applied for Achievement Track status during the first application period, and facilities will be invited to apply again between February 1 and April 30, 2001. Stewardship Track is still under development and will open in Summer 2001.
Facilities participating in Achievement Track are required to have a systematic approach to managing environmental responsibilities, a strong record of environmental compliance, demonstrated environmental achievement, and public reporting of progress.
EPA Region 10 recognizes both EPA's Achievement Track Facilities and Oregon Green Permits Facilities as they strive to improve their overall environmental performance through these programs.
