Stop Transmission of Polio
(STOP) Teams 

How to Apply for 
STOP Teams

  CURRENT STATUS: Recruitment for the February 2005 STOP team is now closed. Please note that the January 2005 team has been changed to February. We are currently accepting applications for the May 2005 team.
    
If you wish to be considered for a STOP team, please send the following information to NIPSTOPteam@cdc.gov
after reviewing Technical Qualifications and Social Qualifications:
  1. Team for which you wish to be considered (e.g., September 2005). We recommend submitting your CV at least 3 months in advance of your preferred departure date. Teams depart 3 times a year in January, May, and September.
  2. Type of position (e.g., field or data management).
  3. Current CV that includes the following:
    • Name as it appears on your passport with surname/family name in capital letters (e.g., John Henry SMITH)
    • Dates for all work experience (e.g., January 2001-March 2004)
    • Thorough description of your job responsibilities; expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI) or immunization program experience should be highlighted
    • Languages that you speak fluently
    • Prior international work experience
  4. Three references: name, contact information including phone number and email address, and relationship (e.g., supervisor, colleague, friend)

Note a medical exam is required after acceptance.
