The Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) Map Machine is an Internet-based mapping utility that profiles SFSP sites by detailing characteristics of both the Census tract in which they exist and neighboring schools. This interactive mapping utility integrates three different types of information--Census data, SFSP participation records, and Common Core Data--and provides visual displays of SFSP sponsors and sites in geographic relation to concentrated areas of child poverty. The website also provides all the underlying data in tabular format for more in depth analysis. Display maps and get data for the entire Nation or a particular State, county, or neighborhood. Use the interactive tools to get information about the features on the map, move to different geographic levels, and change visibility of data layers. For example, you can select a State, zoom into a specific county, and display the data attributes of that county by using the identify tool.

SFSP sites and sponsors data for 2001 are available for download from the links below. The SFSP sites and sponsors data, as well as the field definitions, are comma-delimited text files. Right-click on the link to save the data. The comma-delimited files can be imported into most database and spreadsheet software programs.
