Located aboard Marine Corps Base Quantico, Virginia, the Marine Corps Research Center is designed to support the professional military education and academic needs of the students and faculty of the Marine Corps University.  Additionally, the Center is envisioned to be the central research facility for Marines in operational units around the world. 

The Center consists of three distinct components: the Marine Corps University Archives, Library, and Conference Center. The Horner Chair of Military Theory is also located within the building.
