October 14 - Over 140,000 Supplementary Concept Records (substance names) have been added to the MeSH Database so the database now contains the full MeSH vocabulary.

September 14  - A new Entrez database, NLM Catalog, is now available to provide an alternate search interface to the 1.2 million journals, books, audiovisuals, computer software, electronic resources, and other materials in LocatorPlus

August 24  - The 15 millionth citation was added to PubMed.

Batch Citation Matcher Updated

June 2 - The Batch Citation Matcher now includes an e-mail feature and the ability to upload a formatted file.

Preview/Index Page Enhanced

June 2  - The number of items displayed in the Index scroll box in Preview/Index has been increased from 40 to 200.

History Update
May 5  - History now includes a menu from the search statement number to delete individual statements as well as combine History statements in a search.

Entrez Update
April 1  - Entrez programming software used by PubMed was recently enhanced to improve the way in which PubMed interprets users' queries.

Cubby Accounts

Health Services Research Filters
February 4 - The National Information Center on Health Services Research and Health Care Technology (NICHSR) at NLM announces the release of a beta test site with HSR filters for searching PubMed for health care quality and costs for testing.

MEDLINE/MeSH Updated with 2004 MeSH
December 3, 2003 - MEDLINE citations and the MeSH database have been updated with 2004 MeSH vocabulary.

Pharmacological Actions added to the MeSH Database
December 3, 2003 - The MeSH database now includes those terms that are identified by MeSH as Pharmacological Actions.

Truncation Limit
November 19, 2003 - The truncation limit in PubMed was increased from 150 variations of a truncated term to 600.
