Tax Stats at a Glance The Statistics of Income (SOI) program produces data files compiled from samples of tax and information returns filed with the IRS. There's a wealth of information about the financial composition of individuals, business taxpayers, tax exempt organizations and more. Look here for some summary statistics from these files, as well as files from other IRS sources.
IRS Statistical Overview Locate here information on the number of returns filed with IRS, as well as the collections received by, and the refunds paid by, the IRS. There's also statistics on examination activities, taxpayer assistance provided by IRS, and criminal enforcement activities.
Statistics by Topic Look here for your specific topic. It could include individuals, corporations, or tax exempt organizations. Or, perhaps you're interested in employment, estate, or excise taxes. There's even more, like the international area.
Statistics by Form Look here for data on your specific topic using these selected IRS form numbers and titles.
