The U.S. Department of the Interior Library promotes the mission of the Department by providing a full range of professional reference and research services, available to Interior employees in both the Washington, DC, area and nationwide.

The Library's collections include documents produced by or for the Department, as well as a broad range of related books, journals, and other resources that support the Department’s efforts to protect and provide access to the Nation’s natural and cultural heritage and to honor its trust responsibilities to tribes.

The Library is open from 7:45 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday (except Federal holidays) and is open to the public.
