Employee Health Services
Welcome to our Employee Health Services page. Here you will discover more about the services we provide to federal agencies interested in establishing health services programs at the worksite. We produce management guidance, develop publications, conduct seminars and workshops, convene interagency committees, and maintain day-to-day consultation with Federal agencies. This page includes an overview of each program area.

Employee Health Services Program Area Descriptions
- Employee Assistance. Provides information on counseling for alcoholism, drug abuse, or other types of personal problems (e.g., marital, financial, child/elder care,
etc.).
- Fitness and Health Promotion. Contains information health promotion and disease prevention activities, physical fitness programs and centers, and occupational health
programs.
- Preventive Health. Preventive health services are offered to otherwise healthy individuals to help prevent disease, identify the risks for disease, or detect disease in its early, most treatable stages. This section answers many of the administrative questions agencies might have in implementing preventive health programs and provides relevant examples and resources.
- Responding to domestic violence. This guide contains up-to-date information about the problem of adult domestic violence.
- Traumatic Events. Information on managing traumatic or systemic stress in the workplace, including large scale disasters, critical incidents, and organizational stress.
- Workplace Violence. Information on addressing violence in the workplace.
- Alcoholism. Alcoholism In The Workplace: A Handbook for Supervisors.
- Smoking Cessation. Guidance on Establishing Programs Designed to Help Employees Stop Smoking and OPM's Model Smoking Cessation Program.
