THE FEDERAL NETWORK FOR YOUNG WORKER SAFETY AND HEALTH

Parent Safety and Health Checklist

Parents can better protect their children by determining whether safety and health are valued at their teens’ workplace. This sample checklist is a tool for parents to use with their teens: before the teens look for work; after they have received job training; and to help identify questions or topics not covered in their training or orientation. You may also wish to request a copy of the employer-youth checklist from your teen’s employer.
