During the training, topics include general information about the National Weather Service, NOAA weather radio and recent
improvements, criteria for spotter calls, and critical winter storm information such as high winds, flooding and high surf.
National Weather Service Mission: "The

hydrologic, and climate forecasts and warnings for
the United States, its territories, adjacent waters
and ocean areas, for the protection of life and
property and the enhancement of the national economy.
