DOCLINE -- Adding Holdings for Multiple Libraries
Question: How do I add holdings for multiple libraries?
Answer:
NOTE: Only DOCLINE Serial Holdings Coordinators have rights to add holdings for multiple libraries.
- - On the DOCLINE navigation bar, select Serial Holdings.
- - On the DOCLINE sub navigation bar, select Add/Update.
- - On the Serial Holdings tab, input the bibliographic search: NLM Unique ID, ISSN, OCLC Number, or Journal Title/Title Abbreviation.
- - Under Search Limits, input the appropriate Region, State/Province, Library Group, and/or up to ten LIBIDs.
- - Click SEARCH.
- - Under "To add holdings, check the appropriate library or libraries", click on the box in front of each library you want to update that will have IDENTICAL holdings.
- - Select the appropriate Retention Policy (Default is Permanent Retention).
- - Select the appropriate Acquisition Status.
- - Input the Holdings Owned.
- - Click ADD.
- - Repeat steps 5-9 until holdings for all libraries have been added.
