FAQ
DOCLINE -- Record in All Capital Letters
Question: Why is my record in all CAPS and what can I do about it?
Answer:
- - Institution records transferred from the old DOCUSER database have been loaded without any changes to upper/lower case.
- - Rather than risk mistakes in conversion, NLM decided not to alter the formatting.
-
- Every institution can and should maintain their own records and change the all caps format to upper/lower case.
- - Records are easier to read and outputs such as labels take up less space if institution names and addresses are in upper/lower case.
