Hours Changing For DRCs And Helpline

Dededo, Guam -- Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and government of Guam disaster officials announced several changes in the operations of the local Helpline and the Disaster Recovery Centers (DRCs).

Beginning Thursday, January 9, the local multilingual Helpline hours will be 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Applicants who have already registered with FEMA but still have disaster-related questions should call the 1-800-621-3362 first. If they are in need of a translator they may call the local multilingual Guam/FEMA Helpline number at 633-9820.

Effective Sunday January 12, DRCs at Inarajan, Yigo and University of Guam will be open Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. All three DRCs will be closed on Sundays.

Anyone who has damage caused by Super Typhoon Pongsona and has not registered, can call the FEMA toll-free number at 1-800-621-3362 to apply. Persons with speech- or hearing- impairments can call TTY 1-800-462-7585.
