Objective:
Obtain data and initiate research on health and reproductive traits; improve level and timeliness of animal identification for the national dairy cattle population.

Approach:
Cooperator will develop computer programs to collect health, reproductive, and identification data and supply those data periodically to the Animal Improvement Programs Laboratory, ARS, USDA (AIPL) for addition to the national dairy database. Research on data editing and data quality checks will be initiated at AIPL to enhance further the quality of data submitted by the Cooperator.
