The Kika de la Garza Subtropical Agricultural Research Center is located in deep south Texas, five miles from the US-Mexico border and 45 miles from the Gulf of Mexico.

Take Loop 499 South to Expressway 77/83.  At this point Loop 499 is now Ed Carey Drive. 
Take Exp 77/83 North to the 77/83 Junction. 
Go West on Exp.83 for approx 15 miles. 
Exit on FM 1015 and go South (left) 1/2 mi. 
Turn West (right) on Business 83 and travel approx 1/4mi to the second entrance on the right side. You will see a greenhouse on top of bldg 200 from the roadway.  Turn into the complex. 
The Center Director's Office is located in this, the Crop Quality and Fruit Insects Research Unit and ARS Center Administration building.

Take Main Street out to the Expressway 83 frontage road. 
Turn East (right) and enter Exp. 83. 
Go East approx 13 mi.
Exit on FM 1015 and go South (right) 1/2 mi. 
Turn West (right) on Business 83 and travel approx 1/4mi to the second entrance on the right side. You will see a greenhouse on top of bldg 200 from the roadway.  Turn into the complex.
