Educational background to work here:

The Coastal Plains Soil, Water, and Plant Research Center employs Research Engineers, Soil Scientists, Agronomists, Crop Scientists, Microbiologists, and other Research Scientists as may be needed to complete our research assignments. These research individuals have advanced degrees in their respective fields. We also employ a range of support scientists and engineers, information technologists, technicians, wage grade trade employees, and administrative job series employees.

To earn a bachelor's degree in engineering or the sciences, skill must be obtained in the basics sciences such as mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, to support the focus in areas of engineering and science. In graduate degrees education, one learns how to conduct sophisticated research and to communicate findings to both the public and scientific communities. Thus, in high school, it is important to take many courses in math, science, information technology, and language, especially English.
