Time for fune, friends, and family

We've all heard them. The first career horror stories.

You're working 60-80 hour weeks; doing the grunt work while others claim the glory; your friends think you've disappeared; your family barely knows you anymore... At the IRS, our character as a progressive employer means making sure you have time outside of work ...ample time... to simply be you.

We believe the more fulfilled you are as a unique person, the more satisfied you'll be as a treasured employee.

Consider this:

40-Hour Weeks

They are standard at the IRS, which leaves time for you to:

Alternative

Work Schedules
In some cases, you can work four 10-hour days per week, and get the fifth day off. Alternatively, you could also work eight 9-hour days, one 8-hour day, and use the tenth day as your day off!

Leave-Sharing
Use "banked" leave days when you have exhausted your available leave.

Overtime Pay and other Premiums
In addition, get time-and-a-half for working more than 8 hours a day, 40 hours in a week.

Holiday Leave
Ten paid holidays annually, plus other holidays the President may declare.

Work/Life Programs

This is just a sampling of the lifestyle advantages we offer. Of course, the best way to measure them is to experience them yourself.
