10/29/2004 - KADENA AIR BASE, Japan (AFPN)  -- Airman 1st Class David Popp competes in the recent Pacific Command Airfield Damage Repair Commander's Cup competition. In this event, he has to drill holes on the runway to secure a 1/4-inch fiberglass matting used as a protective barrier between the dirt and aircraft.
