state-level data include the estimated number of new diagnoses and cancer
deaths as well as age-adjusted mortality rates broken down by race/ethnicity
and presented alongside the national averages.
Youth Risk Behavior Surveillance System Summary Results (PDF–92K)
Summarizes key findings from the 2001 Youth Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS),
which compares data on leading causes of death and salient risk behaviors
for two populations: young people aged 10–24 years and adults 25 years and

Healthy Youth Funding Database
Provides information on grants, scholarships, sponsorships, and other funds
for school health programs. Sources of funding range from federal agencies
and states to corporations, foundations, and other organizations. The
database provides overviews, application assistance, and contact information

Cancer Legislative Information
Information on pending and enacted legislation pertaining to cancer
prevention and control. Provides bill numbers, submission dates, and
congressional sponsors; a short summary of the legislation; and its current
status.
Nutrition and Physical Activity Legislative Information
This state-based searchable database provides legislation information
pertaining to nutrition, physical activity and obesity. It provides bill

Dental Public Health Programs: Synopses by State
Provides contact information, a demographic profile, and summary
statistics on key oral health indicators: the state's public water system
and fluoridation infrastructure; its public health workforce and

health. Includes profiles of partner organizations; project information such

Assisted Reproductive Technology Success Rates Report
More than 40,000 babies were born as a result of 107,587 assisted
reproductive technology (ART) procedures performed in 2001. This report
summarizes national trends and provides information on success rates from
384 fertility clinics around the country to help consumers make informed
decisions about having a baby through ART treatment.
Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System Prevalence Data
The Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS) allows users to query
prevalence data on up to 24 behavioral risk factors, for a reporting area
that currently includes all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and three
territories.
Fruit and Vegetable Consumption
Compare fruit and vegetable consumption by age, body mass index (BMI), education, gender, income, physical activity, and race. Further compare fruit and vegetable consumption nationwide to your state, compare your state to another state, or view trends over time.
Heart Disease and Stroke Maps
These interactive state maps present heart disease and stroke mortality
rates, by racial/ethnic group and by gender. Summary data is presented for
each state in a fact sheet and profile table. Detailed data by county is
also available.
Most Common Cancers
Includes bar graphs ranking the incidence rates for the 15 cancer sites with
the highest age-adjusted incidence rates within sex and race-specific
populations in each state or metropolitan area.
Oral Health Maps
The interactive maps present oral health indicators for water fluoridation
by state and county for the total population or the population served by
public water systems (PWS population), prevalence of untreated tooth decay,
caries experience, and dental sealants for schoolchildren by state and
school grade.

Key oral health statistics on dental visits, teeth cleanings, complete
tooth loss, and community water fluoridation status. Also provides state
dental program contact information, infrastructure and population profiles,
and links to related information. Data are drawn from the CDC National Oral
Health Surveillance System (NOHSS).
Pregnancy Risk
Assessment Monitoring System
The Pregnancy Risk Assessment Monitoring System (PRAMS) is concerned with
maternal attitudes and experiences prior to, during, and immediately
following pregnancy. Selected PRAMS data considered include unintended
pregnancy, late entry into prenatal care, breast-feeding initiation, smoking
and/or alcohol consumption during late pregnancy, and physical abuse by a
husband or partner during pregnancy.
YRBSS
Youth Online: Comprehensive Results
Provides interactive access to information from the CDC Youth Risk Behavior
Surveillance System (YRBSS). View reports and graphs summarizing survey
research on typical risk factors among youth: unintentional
injuries/violence, tobacco use, alcohol/other drug use, sexual behaviors,
dietary behaviors, physical activity, and others.
