ON THE HOME FRONT RESOURCES TO HELP AMERICA’S MEN AND WOMEN IN UNIFORM

With an overwhelming display of patriotism and support for our troops throughout the World overloading the Pentagon’s mail system, Iowa Congressman Tom Latham is joining with the Department of Defense in announcing alternatives for constituents who are looking to support our troops fighting overseas.

“It is very characteristic of Iowans to want to do something to help our troops,” said Latham. “Unfortunately, mass mailings and care packages are putting an incredible strain on the Pentagon’s mail system. However, there are many other ways to show the troops our appreciation, and President Bush’s ‘On the Home Front’ resource does just that.”

“On the Home Front” was recently announced by President Bush and offers a number of ways for citizens to express their gratitude to troops, including:
