EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS

  • A 130-page geology curriculum for grades 3 through 6, called The Many Faces of Delaware Water Gap, has been developed for teachers. It includes curriculum-based field trips (shown above) for five locations in the park in Pennsylvannia and New Jersey. Teachers and science educators are invited to contact the park for a free copy.

  • During the summer, ranger programs may include activities or interpretation for children. Please check the park's calendar of events at the right for special programs and activities in the recreation area.

  • Pocono Environmental Education Center, just off Route 209 within the recreation area, offers a variety of programs for children year round. There is a charge for some of these programs.

  • For junior ranger, junior naturalist, and junior time-traveler activities for children, select "For Kids" at the right.
