Mission:
The mission of the Crop Protection and Management Research Unit is to conduct basic, developmental and applied research in the Southeastern Coastal Plain to generate new knowledge, principles, practices, theories, models, and integrated systems for the development of efficient, economical, environmentally sound, sustainable strategies for the management of nematode, weed, disease, and insect pests of agronomic and vegetable crops, and to minimize the effects of agricultural chemicals on the environment and public health.
