U.S. Water Conservation Laboratory
The mission of the U. S. Water Conservation Laboratory (USWCL) is to conserve water and protect water quality in systems involving soil, aquifers, plants, and the atmosphere. Research thrusts involve developing more efficient irrigation systems, improving the management of irrigation systems, developing better methods for scheduling irrigations, developing the use of remote sensing techniques and technology, protecting groundwater from agricultural chemicals, commercializing new industrial crops, and predicting the effect of future increases of atmospheric CO2 on climate and on yields and water requirements of agricultural crops. The Water Conservation Laboratory is located at 4317 East Broadway Rd, Phoenix, AZ, 85040
Western Cotton Research Laboratory
The mission of the Western Cotton Research Laboratory (WCRL) is to provide and coordinate a productive research program to improve and/or maintain cotton production. The research program developed is a cohesive, cooperative, and innovative effort leading to increased, more effective and efficient cotton production methodology and management, improved insect management systems and unique and new understandings of cotton plant physiological processes that involve growth, development, fruiting and insect-plant interactions. The Western Cotton Research Laboratory is located at 4135 East Broadway Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85040
