Pullman Location Support Office
Agricultural Research Service is an arm of the U.S. Department of Agriculture and is active in research on several fronts. There are six Management Units in Pullman, Washington, conducting research on grain and legume genetics, animal diseases, integrated pest management, soil erosion, air and water quality, cereal crop diseases, wheat root diseases and biological control. The Western Wheat Quality Lab is also located on the Washington State University campus and is a part of the Wheat Genetics group. The Western Regional Plant Introduction Station is maintained as part of this location's mission. Research is done on the Washington State University campus as well as several sites throughout Washington State, including Mount Vernon, Walla Walla, Central Ferry and Lind, as well as Arizona, California, Alaska, Montana, and Idaho, including a research site on the University of Idaho campus.
