Historic Preservation Work to Begin on Fort Replica
With the start of off-peak season operations the park will be doing a major restoration project on the replica fort. As part of the National Park Service efforts to prepare to the Lewis and Clark Bicentennial we are doing reconstruction work on the replica of Fort Clatsop. This reconstruction work will begin on Tuesday, September 7th.

Lewis and Clark Fort To Sea Trail Website
A 50-year-old dream is on the verge of becoming a reality in time for Lewis and Clark bicentennial. When community volunteers were constructing the replica of Fort Clatsop in 1955, the idea of a Fort-to-Sea Trail commemorating the historic route taken by the Corps of Discovery to the Pacific Ocean was discussed.

Fort Clatsop National Memorial To Serve As Postal Station
Fort Clatsop National Memorial will, for one day, serve as a postal station for the first day that Lewis and Clark commemorative stamps are on sale. On Friday, May 14th the only place in Oregon that people will be able to buy one of 3 commemorative stamps and receive one of two commemorative postmarks will be at Fort Clatsop National Memorial.

Senate OKs $1.25 milion for Fort Clatsop Expansion
Sens. Gordon Smith, R-Ore., and Ron Wyden, D-Ore., announced Wednesday the Senate's approval of $1.25 million for expanding the fort where Meriwether Lewis and William Clark spent the winter of 1805.
