DEAR
NEIGHBOR,
It has been an honor to serve as your
representative during this challenging time in our nation’s history. Everyday,
as I walk the halls of Congress, I am inspired by all those who have served
before me. As the 108th Congress nears its end, I wanted to provide my
constituents with a more comprehensive look at what I have been working on for
the past twenty plus months.
When I first took office I promised to bring a common sense business approach to
Washington, DC. I must admit it has been harder than I had hoped, but we are
making progress and I am optimistic about the direction we are headed. Little by
little we are restoring fiscal responsibility to our federal government and
returning more of your hard-earned money back to you. I also promised to try to
make our borders more secure and our homeland safer. And gave my word to our
military men and women, as well as our veterans, that when I went to DC I would
support them in every way possible. I have had the opportunity to spend some
time with our soldiers and veterans and I have listened to their concerns, and I
have tried to make a difference for them in Washington.
I take my responsibility to represent your interests very seriously. You have
entrusted me with an awesome responsibility and I will continue to work every
day to ensure the voices of South Carolinians are heard and their values are
represented. I have assembled a top-notch staff, who stand with me ready,
willing and able to assist you. Please stop by any of my offices with questions
and/or concerns. As always if you plan a trip to Washington, DC, I invite you to
stop in and say Hello! I guarantee you will receive a warm South Carolina
welcome and the best sweet tea in town.

those who are currently overseas fighting for our freedoms, the very
freedoms that will allow each of us to go to the polls this November 2nd
and elect those who represent us, are able to do so themselves,"
