Because of the discovery of the poisonous
biological agent Ricin in the Senate Office Buildings, the delivery of mail
to Congress was temporarily suspended earlier this year, and there are still
considerable delays in mail delivery to
Congressional offices. It is not clear when the normal flow of mail will be
fully restored. As a result, anyone who sends, or has recently sent, a
letter to my Washington office could experience a significant delay before
receiving a response. Therefore, if you require swift assistance, and you
are a resident of the Fourth Congressional District, I suggest that you
contact me by telephone or email. All bulk materials should be sent to my
Newton Office. You have my assurances that I will respond
to every constituent request as expeditiously as possible. My three District
Offices, located in New Bedford, Newton and Taunton, continue to receive
