John Announces COPS Funds for Calcasieu Parish -
Washington, D.C. – Louisiana Congressman Chris John today announced
today that the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office has been awarded $25,000
from the U.S. Department of Justice Office of Community Oriented Policing
Services (COPS) program. The grant was awarded through COPS Secure
Our Schools program, which provides funds to improve security at schools
and on school grounds.

House Considers Marriage Protection Amendment -
Washington, D.C. – Louisiana Congressman Chris John today exercised
his firm belief in the sanctity of marriage. John voted in support
of H.J. Res. 106, the Marriage Protection Amendment in the U.S. House of
