Receives Award for Efforts to Fight Steroid and Methamphetamine Abuse
Washington, D.C. - Rep. John E. Sweeney (R,C-Clifton Park) was presented the 2004 Partnership for a Drug-Free America Guardian Award at a ceremony held at the Capitol today, for his efforts in Congress to control steroid and methamphetamine abuse.
“The abuse of methamphetamine and performance enhancing drugs poses a serious threat to our communities and our youth in particular,” said Rep. Sweeney. “I am proud to fight alongside the Partnership for a Drug-Free America at the forefront of this effort to remove these dangerous substances from our streets, schools and our neighborhoods.” (read full press release) |
