Governor Mark Warner (left) and Attorney General Jerry Kilgore (right) listen as Congressman Frank Wolf announces that he is working to provide $3 million in federal resources for the Commonwealth of Virginia to coordinate its anti-gang activity, as well as $2 million for the Northern Virginia Regional Gang Task Force, and $500,000 for the Northwest Virginia Regional Drug Task Force to help combat gangs. The announcement was held at the Fairfax County Government Center on October 6. Congressman Wolf discusses traffic management with Loudoun County Supervisor Mick Staton at the control room of VDOTs traffic monitoring center in Arlington on Monday. The pair appeared earlier at a press conference to announce improvements to Route 7.
Formed by the hands of refugee children, clay figures re-enact the destruction of a village in Darfur, Sudan. Congressman Wolf recently visited refugee camps in the western region of Sudan, where black african muslims are being driven out of their homes by government-backed arab militias. Congressman Wolf speaks about the threat of gang violence at an event in Fairfax on May 20. Wolf recently secured $500,000 in additional federal funding to combat the gang problem. Both the 10th District Gang Task Force and Northwest Virginia Regional Drug Task Force will benefit from the new funds.

The march was organized with the help of interns from Congressman Wolf's office, and aimed to draw attention to church property seized by Sudan's Fundamentalist government and the continuing crisis in the Darfur region. Congressman Wolf speaks with members of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees at a luncheon in Winchester on April 23. The high concentration of federal employees and retirees in the 10th District are an important focus for Wolf's office.
