Craig discussed the importance of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the business community working together to prepare cities, states and businesses in the event of a disaster. Craig answered many questions regarding the business communities role in disaster planning.

FEMA Regional Director Daniel Craig (far right) presented the Westbrook Fire and Rescue Squad with a fire grant check for $192,279 during a ceremony on August 30 in Westbrook, Maine. Craig was joined by Westbrook Fire Chief Gary Littlefield, City Administrator Jim Violette, and U.S. Representative Thomas Allen. More than $3 million dollars has been provided to first responders in Maine this year as part of the 2003 Assistance for Firefighters Grant Program.
