Careers with the USDA-ARS Northern Great Plains  Research Laboratory

The Northern Great Plains Research Laboratory (NGPRL) is a research unit of the Agricultural Research Service and United States Department of Agriculture.  NGPRL employs approximately 35 full time permanent employees and a varying number of student employees depending on the time of year (field season, etc.).

Many disciplines relating to agriculture and agricultural production are represented at NGPRL.  Soil Science, Rangeland Science, Plant Pathology, Microbiology and Livestock Science are some areas of research performed at our laboratory.

NGPRL has a strong commitment to equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants. The Northern Plains Area EEO/Diversity policy statement provides details on our policies and commitment.

NGPRL will always accept applications for student employment. Simply fill out an OF-612 (Application for Federal Employment) and send it in or drop it off at our laboratory. For more information on student employment or careers with NGPRL call 701-663-6445.
