Chat Transcript Posted!
The ATA would like to thank everyone who participated in our first public chat. The transcript of our September 28 chat is now available for everyone.

TIN-it-us or ti-NIGHT-us: which is correct?
We hear TIN-it-us (correct). We hear ti-NIGHT-us (also correct). We even hear ten-don-it-is (incorrect, unless you're referring to your tennis elbow). But no matter how you pronounce it, tinnitus, more commonly referred to as ringing in the ears, is a seriously distressing condition. More formally, tinnitus is the perception of ringing, hissing, or other sounds in the ears or head when no external sound is present.

Tinnitus Assistance Fund
The ATA has a new program that offers financial assistance to people who are unable to afford health care services for their tinnitus. It's just one more way ATA provides help to people with tinnitus.

Tinnitus Awareness Week Success!
Tinnitus Awareness WeekYou did it: you have helped the ATA with our first national Tinnitus Awareness Week. With your help, we have reached out to people around the country about the seriousness and prevalence of this condition. Thanks to everyone who helped make the first Tinnitus Awareness Week such a success.

Your Support Matters
No matter how you give to the ATA, no matter how much you give, your donations matter. Each gift you make to the American Tinnitus Association is tax deductible and funds our Commitment to a Cure.
