Mission Statement

The purpose of the American Head and Neck Society is:

  • To promote and advance the knowledge of prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of neoplasms and other diseases of the head and neck
  • To promote and advance research in diseases of the head and neck, and
  • To promote and advance the highest professional and ethical standards

Membership appcations are now being accepted for the 2005 Membership Cycle. The application deadline is December 1, 2004. Please visit Member Central to apply.

The History Committee is devoted to maintaining the heritage of the Head and Neck Society. One project of the committee is to obtain oral histories from distinguished senior members of our Society and present the results on the website. Our first two interviews are posted!

AHNS Future Meeting dates and locations are posted on the Meeting Information Page.

AHNS Members may now log in to the site from the login page to gain access to the full membership database. After you login, there are links to change the assigned user ID and password to something of your choosing. If you have lost your information, there is now a form to recover it.

Applications for the 2005 Fellowships in Advanced Training in Head & Neck Oncologic Surgery are now being accepted. Please go to the Resident & Fellow Corner for more information.

The site-wide search engine has been fixed. Searches now include all site documents. We have also re-enabled a physician search under the Member Central menu.

There are recent interim progress reports from the Young Investigator Award recipient and the Physician Scientist Award recipient in the Research section of the site.
