EPA Comments on
Environmental Impact Statements (EISs)
EPA reviews EISs prepared by other federal agencies and makes those
reviews public by publishing summaries of those comments, generally every
Friday, in the Federal Register.
EPA has also developed a set of criteria
for rating draft EISs. The rating system provides a basis upon which EPA
makes recommendations to the lead agency for improving the draft.

of EPA's Comment Summaries.
You may also be interested in reviewing EPA's Federal

the full-text of Federal Register documents that deal with all
aspects of EISs being prepared by all federal agencies, and is published
