Results
- Making a Difference
EPA's enforcement and compliance assurance program is focused on
producing measurable results to protect public health and the
environment. The program has always tracked traditional measures,
such as the number of inspections. Recently, the program has implemented
the National Performance Measures Strategy which, while continuing
some reporting on traditional activity, or output measures, increases
the number of outcome measures (e.g., pounds of pollutants reduced
as a result of an enforcement action). The accomplishments of
the enforcement and compliance assurance program are reported
in a variety of documents. Available reports are listed under
the links at the right.
