This web site focuses on EPA's Compliance Assistance tools that provide information on the regulation of pesticides. It also provides assistance to the regulated community in finding cost-effective ways to comply with regulations. Links to pesticide-related environmental compliance assistance materials, compliance monitoring and enforcement information, such as documents, tools, information, and other related web sites, are provided.
Individuals applying pesticides must do so in a manner not only consistent with federal laws, but also consistent with state laws and regulations which differ from state to state. In general, states have primary authority for compliance monitoring and enforcement of pesticides used in violation of the labeling requirements.
