Technology Transfer

PMR scientists welcome opportunities to develop new products and environmentally safe methods aimed at improving quality, safety and exportability of foods. For example we have patented an insect lure which attracts both male and female codling moths, a major pest of apples, pears and walnuts [see Patents].

Industry partners may cooperate with PMR through a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA), an example of which is our partnership with the Dried Fruit Association of California to develop a sorting instrument that detects pits and pit fragments in dried plums [more details].
