The
Government
Performance
and Results
Act (GPRA)
requires
that each
federal
agency
submit
a comprehensive
strategic
plan to
the Congress.
The strategic
plan provides
a roadmap
for agencies
to meet
their goals
and fulfill
their missions.
The plans
include
a set of
measurable
long-term
goals for
the organization.
The goals
should
be based
on outcomes,
rather
than activities
or work
processes.
Strategic
plans cover
a period
of at least
five years
and are
revised
at least
every three
years.
Interiors
plan includes
an overview
and eight
bureau
components.
